Mission Trip
June 5 (Sunday)
Our Mission Team will be traveling to Newland, North Carolina and will be working with the Avery County Habitat for Humanity on a new home for Amanda Jones and her four children. We will be supervised by an onsite foreman. We are told that this is a very poor area. This marks the 11th year the Mission Team has made a trip. 25 of our members will be going this year, leaving on June 25th and returning on July 2nd. To offset the cost of this trip, each participant will need to contribute $225.00. In addition, the Team has set a goal to raise an additional $4,500.00 via membership contributions. If you would like to participate in this work, please make your check payable to the Church and earmark it for the Mission Trip. The deadline is Sunday, June 5th. Please continue to pray for those who will be participating and pray for successful results.

Update: To date, we have collected over $4000 of the $4,500 goal leaving less than $500 remaining to be collected. This amount is above the individual amount of $225 per person. The Elders and Mission Team want to thank the congregation for their continued generosity.
